The Lopez family stated that Rudy Lopez originally went to the emergency room after what was believed to be a soccer-related injury. Doctors initially suspected a ruptured spleen and rushed him into emergency surgery.
During surgery, doctors reportedly discovered the situation was more serious than originally believed and found what appeared to be a tumor affecting Rudy Lopez’s spleen.
The Lopez family later confirmed that Rudy Lopez has been diagnosed with lymphoma and has completed his first round of chemotherapy treatment.
