VISALIA, Calif. — In a business world increasingly driven by technology, automation, and digital communication, one Central Valley networking organization is betting that authentic human relationships still matter most.

Rose Rodriguez, founder and president of The Catalyst Network, recently sat down with Kings Network News to discuss the vision behind the growing organization, its unique approach to networking, and why she believes meaningful connections are the foundation of long-term business success.

Rodriguez said the inspiration for creating The Catalyst Network came from her experiences attending traditional networking groups. While she believes all networking can have value, she wanted to build something that focused less on collecting business cards and more on creating genuine relationships that lead to measurable growth.

“I wanted to build something with structure behind it where we’re tracking your growth and ensuring that your collaborations are going well above just a business card and a handshake,” Rodriguez said.

With a background in marketing, Rodriguez has spent years helping businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations grow through analytics, strategic planning, and return-on-investment focused marketing efforts. She said those experiences revealed a gap in the local networking landscape.

Rather than creating another social gathering or highly structured corporate networking group, Rodriguez envisioned a platform where entrepreneurs, professionals, and business owners could connect in a more intentional way.

According to Rodriguez, one of the biggest differences between The Catalyst Network and many traditional networking organizations is its emphasis on relationships over membership numbers.

“We’re focused on building real value, not just attendance,” Rodriguez said. “This ensures that every engagement within the network is meaningful and impactful.”

The organization is supported by a leadership team that includes Vice President Pearl Marquez and Chief Financial Officer Rebecca Moreno. Rodriguez credited both women with helping build community relationships and providing strategic direction as the organization continues to grow.

One challenge the organization has faced is balancing growth with maintaining quality connections. Rodriguez said she intentionally avoids focusing solely on membership volume and instead prioritizes attracting people who are committed to professional growth and collaboration.

That philosophy extends to The Catalyst Network’s ambassador program. Rather than recruiting ambassadors based solely on numbers, Rodriguez plans to organize ambassadors by industry sectors such as real estate, agriculture, and finance. The goal is to create stronger industry-specific connections while maintaining the organization’s focus on quality relationships.

The discussion also touched on artificial intelligence and its growing role in business.

While Rodriguez acknowledges AI can improve efficiency and automation, she believes technology cannot replace genuine human interaction.

“Nothing can replace the humanistic touch of what we crave,” Rodriguez said. “There are some things that just cannot be replaced, and that’s our connections.”

As someone who attended a recent Catalyst Network event, I experienced firsthand what Rodriguez describes. The event featured structured networking activities designed to break down barriers between attendees and encourage meaningful conversations.

One example was my conversation with fellow entrepreneur Rob Jr., whom I met at the event. Had I not attended, it’s unlikely our paths would have crossed. That interaction alone demonstrated the value of creating environments where people can build relationships beyond simple introductions.

Looking ahead, Rodriguez said the organization is preparing additional events and partnerships while refining programs behind the scenes. Although she did not reveal specific details about upcoming initiatives, she indicated that The Catalyst Network has plans to continue expanding while preserving the culture that has helped it gain momentum.

For entrepreneurs and professionals considering joining, Rodriguez offered a simple message: don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone.

“Be brave and just do it,” she said. “Step into bigger opportunities and create lasting impact.”
