A 78 year old Hanford man was arrested Monday after detectives discovered thousands of child sexual abuse images and videos on electronic devices seized from his home, according to the Hanford Police Department.
Police said detectives from the department’s Criminal Investigations Unit took Charles Reynolds into custody on December 22 at approximately 2 p.m. The arrest followed a November 2025 search warrant served at Reynolds’ Hanford residence as part of an investigation tied to multiple Internet Crimes Against Children cyber tips.
During the November search, detectives seized numerous electronic devices from the home. After conducting forensic examinations, investigators reportedly discovered thousands of images and videos classified as child sexual abuse material on the devices.
Reynolds was transported to the Kings County Jail, where he was booked on multiple felony charges, including possession of child sexual abuse material and possession of more than 600 images, with at least 10 images involving a prepubescent minor under the age of 12.
Police identified the charges as violations of California Penal Code sections 311.11(a) and 311.11(c)(1), both felonies under state law.
Authorities are asking anyone with additional information related to this case, identified as case number H2504311, to contact Hanford Police Detective Escalera at 559 585 2540.
